Convinced by the decision to select a print solution via Thermal Transfer, as much for technological as for purchase cost reasons, a metalworking company selected inkanto AXR®7+ for marking identification data on the packaging for metal parts.
The challenge
Once labelled the package is covered by a thermo-retracted plastic film. This packing process using the effect of heat can cause the label ink to be transferred onto the packing film and therefore compromise the legibility of the label.
The solution
The good heat resistance of the Resin ink of the AXR®7+ ribbon is ideally suited to this type of application.
Alongside the performance of the AXR®7+, the user and the ARMOR-IIMAK technical teams worked together to analyse the problem and find the most appropriate solution.
